It’s now possible for experienced landlords to obtain 100% buy-to-let finance.
This works by obtaining a 75% buy-to-let mortgage against the property to be purchased and a 25% secured loan against an existing property in the buyers’ portfolio (or their main residence) that has sufficient equity. Both loans would be at the same rate.
This is a significant step and allows experienced landlords to acquire properties they may have felt cautious about financing with a bridging loan and without tying up funds in a deposit that could otherwise be used for refurbishing the property.
