They will give your room a fresh look, and most of the time you won’t even have to spend a lot of money. Get some cheap second-hand picture frames, spray paint them gold, and hang them up above your sofa.
If you’d like to add some more colour to your room, you may even paint the wall or pick an interesting wallpaper pattern. When it comes to accent walls, the choices are truly infinite so you can easily showcase your playfulness through the design.
Plants breathe life into the rooms
Don’t underestimate the power of plants! Apart from bringing new life to your space, the vases and pots in which they’re housed can be a great way to play with patterns and textures.
Before you go out and buy yourself a jungle-worth amount of plants, consider which ones could thrive in your living room. Meaning, it’s important to think about the amount of light your room is getting throughout the day and also your own gardening skills. If you don’t have that green of a thumb and your living room is quite dark, it may be advisable to get a succulent such as sansevieria.
Lighting is crucial
Turn up the lights! Nothing’s better than rooms that are bathed in sunlight during the day, however, some of us are not blessed with naturally bright space. You may make your place shine bright with the addition of lamps and chandeliers.
Luckily, there are so many interesting options on the market nowadays. Currently, interesting floor lamps are all the rage. You may pick statement lamps made of brass and other metals. Think about pairing your table lamp with a floor lamp – matching sets are always intriguing and will amp up the ambiance.
Fill those bookshelves
