Within the total lending lending secured on dwelleings was up by £0.6 billion compared to the previous 6 month average according to recent Bank of England Lending data.
The Bank of England (BoE) Lending to Indivuals data for June, released yesterday, shows that total lending to individuals rose by £1.3 billion in May.
This was compared to the previous 6 month average of £1.4 billion – the twelve month growth rate was unchanged at 1.0%.
Lending secured on property (Dwellings)
Within the total lending lending secured on dwelleings:
- was up by £0.6 billion compared to the previous 6 month average of £1.0 billion
- three month annualised growth rate was down by 0.2% to 0.8%
- twelve month growth rate was unchanged at 0.8%
- was now £12.2 billion gross
- repayments in may were £11.7 billion
House Purchases
Loan approvals however fell slightly in May, down to 51,098. The number of approvals for remortgaging also decreased to 24,244 from the previous six month average of 30,445.
