Naturally, the best way to learn anything is by your own experience. Reading books, being taught in a classroom, in fact theory of any kind can only teach us so much. It is not until you get involved in something that you can figure out whether you know enough about it, are good at it, or even enjoy it! This applies to any subject, however in this context, I am talking about property, of course!
Hmmm…an interesting thought, isnt it?

Well, lets see… Ask yourself the question, how much personal experience in property investment do I actually have? If you already have a vast amount, then I bet there are a few things youd have liked to know along the way to ease the ride! If your answer is, not much, then the only way you can learn is to read up, get yourself an education and get out there and DO IT! Or is it? Well, in my opinion, the most efficient and productive way of learning how to make a success of being in property (or anything, for that matter!) comes from a combination of pointers.
First: You learn and understand what you are getting yourself into
Second: You find a sound and proven methodology which will help you in your endeavours
Third: With careful guidance, you start to take action and make your own way
Fourth: You learn from your experiences, refine your processes and improve your skills
You may have the feeling that learning from your own mistakes is also very powerful, with which I would wholeheartedly agree. However, on reflection, I most certainly would have appreciated having someone to at least warn me beforehand! What I am saying here is that the ability to learn from others mistakes can be EVEN MORE POWERFUL. And by learn, I mean really take on board their message. It could save you a fortune or countless hours which may otherwise be lost.
If youre a driver, you will remember back to the time when you first started learning to drive. What a shock! All those things you thought you knew, but really had no clue about! So, what helped you to overcome those initial fears and lack of knowledge and get you to become a competent and safe driver? It took a very patient, experienced and (hopefully!) kind individual to help you overcome the dont know what you dont know phase to really knowing your stuff.
You may be wondering, by this stage, what this has all got to do with you, and more so, property. Well, on the subject of learning from others mistakes, we have compiled a very special report to help you do just that…learn from ours and the multitude of people we have had the privilege of working with over the years.
