PROPERTY SHOWS

Property investment companies use property shows to showcase their products to property investors.

There are many shows throughout the UK.

The shows typically have comprehensive supplier stands so it’s a good opportunity to meet the suppliers and perhaps get some good deals.

Property shows also offer free seminars covering a wide range of industry topics.

There is also the chance to network with other property investors.

The pin Meeting – Manchester

The PIN Meeting last week was excellent. It was actually a smaller group than usual, but it worked really well. It was a very, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We started the meeting with some speed networking which was excellent. We had to try to get around everybody in the room, and tell them what you’re working on in 2 words. This proved to be quite a challenge! Needless to say I didn’t get around everybody in the room, but I talked to a significant amount of people. I believe that the more people you meet the more effective your business will be. This proves that it’s important to put together your elevator pitch. You need to be succinct in your description of what you’re working on and what you’re looking for. Paul Shamplina from Landlord Action gave a great presentation. He is an interesting character with an even more interesting background....

The Wigan Property Event

Well I braved the wind and the rain last night to travel to The Wigan Property Event. I thought it would take me just 45 minutes to get there, but an hour and a half later I arrived! It was a small select group last night of just 7 people. But to be fair this was only the second meeting and the weather was pretty horrible, so that could be the reason why. Steven Aspinall was running the meeting and Shimon Ruddich was presenting. I was also expecting to see Vanessa Warwick but Steven had to cancel her appearance the day before due to the low numbers. Shimon gave an excellent presentation about lease options. Shimon is the founding partner of solicitors, MS Law in Manchester. He certainly knows his stuff! As well as being a solicitor he is a landlord too and buys 1 property every month. I always think...

The power steering of property investors!

I was at a great meeting last night, with the Northern Property Network. Mark Jackson from Option Expert was the key speaker. I’ve heard Mark present before and he was excellent and he certainly lived up to expectations. Options can be quite a complicated subject but he puts it across in a really simple way.  He makes it so easy to understand and he uses some great analogies whilst he’s talking. He says that options are the power steering for property investors. I really liked that.  They are also like the travelators you get in airports – travelators get you to your destination fast and options give you the ability to reach financial freedom fast. Mark went through what was needed to form an option agreement and explained that options allow you to gain control of an asset without the liability – you still have responsibility but not the liability.  A...

Make it BIG 2010

I’m really excited to be attending the Make it BIG 2010 event on Saturday and Sunday in London. The speakers featured are James Caan, Kevin Green (Secret Millionaire), Roger Hamilton, Daniel Priestley and many more. During great times of change, great opportunities present themselves.  Make it BIG in 2010 and Make it BIG in the NEW ECONOMY is a two day event designed to give answers on what to be looking for in the year ahead to seize exciting opportunities. I’ll blog again once I’ve attended to see if it lives up to expectations. I have a feeling it will!
