It is only in the past 30 years that is has become common place for new homes to be fitted with double glazing and therefore there are still quite a lot of homes out there that have single glazed windows and therefore are losing a great deal of heat unnecessarily. Some of these homes have very poorly constructed windows and doors and are losing a vast amount of heat that is costing the occupants of those homes a great deal of money. It is for this reason that older homes in particular can hugely feel the difference from upgrading from single glazed to double glazed windows, or even triple glazed windows where budgets allow. As a result of having new windows occupants of an older home will feel the difference in the warmth of their home and in the reduction of their energy bills. This is surely the ultimate...
